Most Dometic MagicWatch (MWE) front parking aids can be activated either using a timer or via the speed when the vehicle is started.
The timer is selected at the factory and is then in operation for an individually programmable duration of up to a maximum of 60 seconds. However, activation via the speed in the range from 0 to 10 km/h (the so-called "S-range") may only be possible using this CBI 200 interface.

The acoustic parking aid MagicWatch MWE 890 from Dometic for the front of cars with a width of up to 2.20 meters.The Dometic parking aid MWE 890 is equipped with four ultrasonic sensors (Ø 22 mm), which are mounted in the front bumper of your vehicle. The system is activated by the speedometer or by engaging reverse gear and automatically mutes a switched-on car radio immediately. Obstacles are only recognized in a danger zone larger than 75 cm, which is particularly helpful in heavy traffic.The MWE 890 parking aid acoustically monitors the front area from a distance of 0.75 meters or less. The detection range of the sensors is divided into four distance zones, which are also indicated acoustically in different tones. The continuous tone of zone 4 thus signals "stop". The sensitivity of the sensors can be regulated individually.Optionally, this parking aid can also be equipped with an optical display and, for example, with the MWE 860 parking aid for the rear area, which is also available as an option, then provides comprehensive protection when parking.In order to avoid annoying beeping under certain circumstances due to insufficient distances in city traffic or in traffic jams, the parking aid can be switched off and on again if necessary using an optional switch. The digital parking aid MWE 7106F with PPS (Parameter Programming System) from Dometic for the front of a car or van.Contrary to the similar parking aid MWE 7006 in three stages, the sensitivity of the sensors (Ø 18 mm) of the MWE 7106F can be individually adjusted according to your own needs. The parameter programming system also enables the detection area and the actual stop zone to be set individually.The six ultrasonic sensors included in the scope of delivery can be mounted on your vehicle in three different ways. Depending on the type of your vehicle, this parking aid not only protects the lower half of the front of the vehicle, but also extends it to the upper half and the sides, for example.With its three mounting variants, this system is ideal for high and wide cars, vans or mobile homes.
