In strong sunlight, it can happen that the glass of the dome clouded. However, it will be clear once it has cooled down. This is owed to the material property and represents accordingly no shortage. Furthermore, you should only close the darkening blind up to two thirds in strong sunlight, as otherwise heat build-up between the blind and the glass and it can cause damage.
The construction of the MINI HEKI S is suitable for vehicles which do not normally exceed the speed of 160 km / h. Excessively high wind resistance due to excessive speed can cause damage to the roof window, which in turn may result in the loss of any warranty claims.
To reduce noise due to wind resistance while driving, the roof light can be additionally (optionally) provided with a suitable spoiler by Dometic. You can find this here:
What is the difference to the MINI HEKI STYLE model, which is almost the same in name?
The main difference between the MINI HEKI S and the STYLE model is that the glass dome of the STYLE model is double-glazed. However, the STYLE model is also available without forced ventilation. But the MINI HEKI STYLE can only be adjusted in three (S = five) different opening positions.
