The acoustic parking aid MagicWatch MWE 890 from Dometic for the front of cars with a width of up to 2.20 meters.

The Dometic parking aid MWE 890 is equipped with four ultrasonic sensors (Ø 22 mm), which are mounted in the front bumper of your vehicle. The system is activated by the speedometer or by engaging reverse gear and automatically mutes a switched-on car radio immediately. Obstacles are only recognized in a danger zone larger than 75 cm, which is particularly helpful in heavy traffic.

The MWE 890 parking aid acoustically monitors the front area from a distance of 0.75 meters or less. The detection range of the sensors is divided into four distance zones, which are also indicated acoustically in different tones. The continuous tone of zone 4 thus signals "stop". The sensitivity of the sensors can be regulated individually.

Optionally, this parking aid can also be equipped with an optical display and, for example, with the MWE 860 parking aid for the rear area, which is also available as an option, then provides comprehensive protection when parking.

In order to avoid annoying beeping under certain circumstances due to insufficient distances in city traffic or in traffic jams, the parking aid can be switched off and on again if necessary using an optional switch. You can find more details on this in the adjacent information tab "Good to know!".

The MWE 890 parking aid is not suitable for mounting on metal bumpers!

Never fit parts of the parking aid (nor any other parts) in the deployment area of an airbag, as otherwise there is a risk of serious injury if the airbag is deployed.

If you have a vehicle with LED rear lights, the connection to these can lead to malfunctions when operating the parking aid! In such a case, it makes sense to pick up the necessary reversing signal at an alternative location (e.g. at the fuse box).

The sensors can and may be painted.

And please always remember that a parking aid should provide you with additional support. However, this does not mean that the use of this device (as well as all other auxiliary systems) does not release you from fulfilling your special duty of care and caution when manoeuvring.
