The SMP 301-07 from Dometic combines many useful functions in one device.
The switch mode power supply reduces the voltage from 230 V to 12 V, so that the lighting and other devices are supplied with power. It draws the required current from the battery when mains power is not available and also ensures that the connected battery is always well charged. A network priority circuit provides the best power source in each case. If an external power supply is available, the device switches over automatically and disconnects the battery from the consumers. When mains operation is deactivated, battery operation is activated to supply the connected consumers.
In mains operation, the battery charger supplies the battery with a constant charging voltage. The battery charger can deliver a charging current of up to 15 A until a battery voltage of 12.7 V is reached. With a battery voltage of more than 12.7 V, a charging current of up to 5 A. The integrated battery charger supports all types of lead, fleece and gel batteries with a capacity of 50 to 300 Ah. The current charge level is shown visually by means of LED displays. The design of the SMP 301-07 is compact and light at the same time and is also quiet in operation without ventilation.
