The acoustic parking aid MagicWatch MWE 860 from Dometic with optical support using an LED display for the rear of cars with a width of up to 2.20 meters.
The Dometic parking aid MWE 860 is equipped with four ultrasonic sensors (Ø 22 mm), which are mounted on the rear of your vehicle. The system is activated when reverse gear is engaged and automatically mutes a car radio that is switched on. The LED display, which has a slim and visually appealing design, also supports parking visually. The system is also suitable for vehicles equipped with a trailer hitch.
The MWE 860 parking aid acoustically monitors the rear area at a distance of approx. 0.4 to 1.6 metres. The detection range of the sensors is divided into four distance zones, which are also indicated acoustically in different tones. The continuous tone of zone 4 thus signals "stop". The sensitivity of the sensors can be regulated individually and the display of fixed objects (e.g. a trailer) can be suppressed.

The MWE 860 parking aid is not suitable for mounting on metal bumpers!
Never fit parts of the parking aid (nor any other parts) in the deployment area of an airbag, as otherwise there is a risk of serious injury if the airbag is deployed.
If you have a vehicle with LED rear lights, connecting them to them can cause interference when operating the parking aid. In such a case, it makes sense to pick up the necessary reversing signal at an alternative location (e.g. at the fuse box).
The sensors can and may be painted.
And please always remember that a parking aid should provide you with additional support. However, this does not mean that the use of this device (as well as all other auxiliary systems) does not release you from fulfilling your special duty of care and caution when manoeuvring.
